CALL FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW FOR A DST-SERB PROJECT

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the following project sponsored by DST-SERB, under the supervision of Prof. Jayati Ray Dutta, Department of Biological Sciences, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus.

Name of the Project – ‘Development of a wound dressing material with a simultaneous dual function of antibacterial and visible colorimetric detection of infection’

Name of the PI – Prof. Jayati Ray Dutta, Associate Professor (PI)

Name of the co-PI – Prof. R. Ganesan, Associate Professor, Chemistry, (Co-PI)

Project Tenure – Three years

Essential Qualification: Ist division in M.Sc./M.Tech Biological Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology. Candidates with a valid NET/GATE qualification will be given preference.

Fellowship – Rs.31,000/- PM for GATE/NET and Rs. 25,000/- for non-GATE/NET candidates.

    Answer: This project’s outcome can have a significant impact on the field of biological sciences by providing an innovative solution to detect infection in wounds and prevent further complications. Additionally, this project can inspire other researchers to develop similar approaches in other medical fields.
