RECRUITMENT FOR VARIOUS POSITIONS
This recruitment is to fill up the vacancies of THSTI under the following projects:
Project : Translational Research Program
Post I
Name of the Post – Senior Technical Officer (Quality Manager)
No. of Posts – 01
Age – 35 years
Minimum Qualifications & Experience – PG Professional degree in Life Sciences with five years of postqualification experience in the relevant field.
OR
PG degree in Life Sciences with six years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
Desirable Skills & Experience / Job Responsibilities – VDDL (Vaccine Design and
Development Laboratory)
- He/she will report to the lab-in-charge, this individual will be responsible for leading the Quality Control Lab Operation within the personalized VDDL (Vaccine Design and Development Laboratory) vaccine unit.
- He/she will directly oversee laboratory function in support of making SOPs, and process
intermediate and finished drug product testing within the facility. - He/she will directly manage the implementation and maintenance of laboratory testing capabilities that employ state-of-the-art infrastructure and documentation.
- He/she will drive laboratory operations with a focus on quality and turnaround time.
- Working with viral vaccine development on the human virus.
Consolidated salary per month – Rs. 85,000/-
Post II
Name of the Post – Technical Officer II (Sequencing Facility)
No. of Posts – 01
Age – 30 years
Minimum Qualifications & Experience – PG degree in Life Sciences/Chemistry with four years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
OR
PG Professional degree in Life Sciences/Chemistry with three years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
Desirable – Knowledge and experience in Genomics, Genetics, Molecular microbiology and DNA sequencing.
Desirable Skills & Experience / Job Responsibilities – The candidate should have hands-on experience in Genomics and DNA & RNA sequencing.
Consolidated salary per month – Rs. 75,000/-
Post III
Name of the Post – Technical Officer II (MCH)
No. of Posts – 01
Age – 30 years
Minimum Qualifications & Experience – PG degree in Life Sciences with four years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
OR
PG Professional degree in Life Sciences with three years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
Desirable –
- Minimum four years of experience in handling clinical samples for research work.
- Experience in using and maintaining digital data via collection devices Basic knowledge of excel
Desirable Skills & Experience / Job Responsibilities –
- Familiarity with working as a team in cohort studies
- Experience in clinical sample collection, processing and preparing of samples for state-of-art high throughput multi comic platforms.
- In-depth know-how of long-term archival of biospecimens.
- Well-versed in using digital technologies for data capture.
- Knowledge of quality control and should have participated as an organizational member in external quality assessment
- Experience in maintaining large data sheets in excel to assist in stratifying the archived samples as per the requests for access to samples
- Assist the investigator/s in SOP implementation and documentation.
- Selected candidates may be posted at THSTI or the clinical study site
Consolidated salary per month – Rs. 75,000/-

- These short-term positions and extensions will be granted subject to the satisfactory
performance of the incumbents and the tenure of the project for which they are selected. Those appointed to these positions will not have any claim for regularization of their employment. - All educational, professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognized
Board/University. - The experience requirement specified shall be experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications required for the post.
- The closing date of the online application will be the CRUCIAL DATE for determining eligibility with regard to age, essential qualification etc.
- The age limit, qualification, experience and other requirements may be relaxed at the discretion of the competent authority, in the case of candidates who are otherwise suitable.
- Age and other relaxations for direct recruits and departmental candidates: 1. By five years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities. 2. By three years for candidates belonging to OBC communities. 3. For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD) falling under the following categories: (i) UR – ten years, ii) OBC – 13 years (iii) SC/ST – 15 4. Age is relaxable for Central Government servants up to five years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government, from time-to-time. 5. There is no upper age limit for the Institute employees who are treated as departmental candidates. 6. For Ex-servicemen up to the extent of service rendered in defense forces (Army, Navy & Air force) plus 3 years provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months attested service.
