Applications in the given Proforma are invited for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for the following timebound project as per the details given below:

Name of the project & Duration of the Project – Development of nano micro matrices for the bioactive, micronutrients and therapeutics (Duration of the Project: 2 and half years upto June 2025)

Age Limit – 35 years for Men and 40 years for Women on the date of the Interview. (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and
PH candidates as per GOI/ICAR rules)General Terms & Conditions: This recruitment is subject to terms and conditions in force in ICAR for such appointments. (1) There is no provision for absorption/re-employment in NIANP/ICAR after the termination of the project. The service of the persons so engaged will automatically stand terminated with the termination of the project, (2) The employment is purely on a temporary basis and liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof. (3) The candidates will not be paid any TA/DA, if called for an interview and will have to make their own arrangements for stay etc. for attending the interview, (4) Apart from sending application in the prescribed format given below, candidates should send complete Curriculum Vitae (C.V.) along with the names of three referees (5) Canvassing in any form will be disqualification of the candidature.

Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Nanotechnology, Animal Nutrition, Microbiology, Food Nutrition, Life Sciences, Biochemistry/ Chemistry, Pharmacology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology/ Agricultural nanotechnology, Agricultural Biotechnology, Agricultural Microbiology, Animal Biotechnology and Molecular biology or any other branches of Life Sciences /biological sciences /Agricultural Sciences with 4 years or 5 years of Bachelor’s degree in Professional Course. Candidates having a post-graduate degree in basic sciences/relevant subject with 3 years of Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have National Eligibility Test (NET) qualification of ICAR/CSIR/ICMR or equivalent body/GATE as per ICAR OM No. Agril/Edn. / 6 / 27/2014-HRD dated 13th July 2015 and 9th October 2015. Candidates having PhD degree in the relevant field are also eligible to apply but will not be entitled to higher pay than that mentioned in the advertisement.
Job description & Desired Knowledge: The selected candidate has to carry out the preparation of nano minerals and phytochemicals and their conjugates. Characterization of nanomaterials, safety studies in vitro and in vivo; Anti-microbial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory studies in rats and poultry. Gene expression and biochemical analysis of biological samples. Thus, candidates having expertise in the above area will be preferred. Proof of experience in the form of research articles/publications needs to be submitted.
Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- per month fixed for the first two years and Rs. 35,000/-per month fixed for the third year. HRA will be given as per ICAR/Central Government rules if no accommodation is provided.
