Essential Qualifications – PhD (Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biomedical Engineering/ Biology/Physics/Biotechnology/ Computer Science/Information Technology/ Life Sciences (Degree Awarded)/MD/ MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/ M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Desirable Qualifications – Research Experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence Algorithms development and software development.

The reservation for the SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and EWS categories shall be as
per the U.P. Govt. rules.

Age Limit – The upper age limit shall be 35 years.

The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of applicants belonging to schedule caste/scheduled tribes, physically handicapped and women applicants whereas 3 years in the case of OBC (Non-Creamy layer candidates)

❖ There will be no age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved seat.
❖ horizontal reservation applicable as per UP Government rules.

Duration – RA will be tenable initially for a period of one year, which may be extendable up to two more years based on his/her performance.

Stipend – The fixed consolidated stipend of RA will be as follows –

1. 1st Year: 36,000/- per month
2. 2nd Year: 38,000/- per month
3. 3rd Year: 40,000/- per month

Selection Procedure –

1. Selection will be made through interviews whereby the assessment of academic records and published/project work is tested by a discipline-wise high-level expert committee.
2. Merely fulfilling eligibility criteria may not entitle a candidate for being called for an interview. Candidates will be called for an interview after screening on the basis of criteria adopted by CBMR depending on the number of RAs available. CBMR reserves the right to call or not to call a candidate for an interview.
3. The validity of the award letter shall be six months from the date mentioned in the award letter. No extension beyond six months will be considered. The decision of CBMR in matters of selection for an interview or for the award of RA etc. shall be final and binding on the candidate.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

• Application format is available at the Centre’s website (https://cbmr.res.in/). Application duly completed on the prescribed form should be sent, with copies of proofs of educational/academic qualifications, experience, testimonials, research publications etc, as indicated therein.
• Reservation: Reservation rules will be applicable as per ‘The Public Services (Reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes) Act, 1994’ and Government orders are issued from time to time for the domicile of Uttar Pradesh. A certificate issued by competent authority on the prescribed format of the Government of Uttar Pradesh is required for the claim of any reservation i.e. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD.
• Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Dependents of Freedom Fighters, Persons with Disabilities, Ex-Serviceman and women candidates who are not permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh shall not be given the benefit of reservation/age relaxation. Such candidates shall be treated as candidates of the General Category.
• In the case of women candidates, the Caste Certificate of a person is to be decided on the basis of her birth in the said community as per UP government rules and will only be treated as valid.
• EWS candidates should submit a certificate, issued by the competent authority of UP Govt (Order no.1/2019/4/1/2002/Ka-2/19T.C.-11 dated 18/2/2019).
• As per EWS guidelines the EWS posts are not carried forward/or considered as backlog vacancies in case unfilled hence other category candidates may be allowed provisionally to apply for the post subject to the condition that they will be considered for the post as UR Candidates only if EWS category seat is otherwise not filled.
• Application format is available at the Centre’s website (https://cbmr.res.in/). Application duly completed on the prescribed form should be sent, with copies of proofs of educational/ academic qualifications, experience, testimonials, research publications etc, as indicated therein. A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1000.00 for the general category and Rs. 500.00 for OBC/SC/ST/PwD / EWS (Domiciled in the State of Uttar Pradesh) is to be paid via net banking/bank transfer to the Account Name: “Director, CBMR Lucknow” (payable at State Bank of India (IFSC code SBIN0007789, Account Number: 30054847814, Swift Code: SBININBB500) SGPGI, Lucknow, India). A copy of the payment receipt/document mentioning the UTR Number of the transaction should be sent along with a hard copy of the application. Candidate should write their name and mobile number and email on the back of the draft.
• The Institute will not be responsible if the application of any candidate is rejected on the basis of incomplete or faulty information filled.
• The application should be sent only by speed post/registered post/courier. The envelope must be superscribed with the name of the position applied for with the Advertisement Number and addressed to the ‘Director, Centre of BioMedical Research (CBMR), SGPGIMS Campus, Raebareli Road, Lucknow-226014, Uttar Pradesh, INDIA’. Applications by hand will not be entertained. If the last date of submission of the application is a holiday, the application will be accepted till 5:00 PM on the next working day.
• The number of posts indicated is provisional and subject to change without prior notice. Selections may not be held for all the advertised posts. The director of the Centre reserves the right to reject any or all applications without assigning any reason. All disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Lucknow bench of the Hon’ble High Court of Judicature at Allahabad.
• Incomplete applications will not be considered and will be treated as disqualified.
• No. TA/DA shall be admissible for attending the interview.
• Only matriculation/SSC Certificates issued by the concerned educational board will be considered as proof of date of birth.
• Candidates must ensure before applying that they are eligible according to the criteria stipulated in the advertisement. If a candidate is found ineligible at any stage of the recruitment process, he/she will be disqualified and their candidature will be cancelled.
• Concealment of facts/information or submitting false information will disqualify the candidature at any stage of recruitment.
• The Centre reserves the right to revise/reschedule/cancel/suspend the recruitment process without assigning any reason. The decision of the Centre shall be final and no appeal in this regard shall be entertained.
• Candidates are advised to visit the website regularly for information related to the recruitment process.
• Candidates will be intimated by email regarding the date of the interview. Original documents will be verified at the time of the interview.
