IISER-Mohali (Department of Biological Sciences) desires to engage a researcher on a temporary basis on contract under a DBT-sponsored research project at IISER-Mohali titled “Hyperthermophile Enzyme Hydrolase Research Centre (HEHRC): A micro-center for research and development relating to thermophile and hyperthermophile microbe-derived hyperthermostable hydrolase enzymes relevant to biofuels and the energy biosciences”.

Essential Qualification: Ph.D in Chemistry, or Molecular Biosciences (e.g., biophysics, biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, microbiology) with 5-6 years of general research experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, or biophysics, and specific research experience in the cloning, expression, purification or biophysical/biochemical characterization of the structure and function of proteins/enzymes.
Work description: Carrying out recombinant DNA, biochemical and biophysical experiments on recombinant enzymes towards specific project goals.
Emoluments: Rs. 47,000 + 8% HRA per month
