Applications are invited from eligible candidates, for the post of “Junior Research Fellow” (JRF) on contract basis for the SERB funded project entitled “Deciphering the genomic landscape of Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome in India: A comprehensive phenotyping, and functional enquiry into the pathogenetics”– under the guidance of Dr. Nalini A Professor of Neurology, NIMHANS & Principal Investigator.

Duration of the project – 3 years. (Initial appointment will be made for a period of six months and will be extended

Emoluments – Per Month Rs. 31,000/- + 24% HRA
Educational Qualification – M.Sc OR M.Tech OR M.Phil degree in life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biophysics/ Chemistry with a good academic record, and NET/GATE/JGEEBILS/ICMR/INSPIRE.
Additional Experience – Candidates with 6 months of experience in molecular biology, stem cell and primary mammalian cell culture, are encouraged to apply.
Nature of Work – The project covers extensive human primary cell culture, induced pluripotent stem cell culturing, reprogramming, differentiating and characterization. Also, the use of electrophysiology (patch-clamp) and fluorescence imaging for functional study.
