RIL seeks a highly motivated Research Scientist in Protein purification and characterization to tackle the formidable challenge of developing scalable processes for efficient purification of recombinant proteins using microbial expression hosts. Hands-on experience in purifying and analysing proteins from Yeast, E.coli & other bacteria and with AKTA instrumentation is required. Strong work experience & familiarity with various modes of chromatography (IEX, Affinity, HIC, SEC, RPC) is a must. Demonstrated work experience with various research scale affinity/IEX chromatography methods and entire protein production pipeline to purify protein at least at gram scale is required. Experience in protein characterization, quantification & analysis using HPLC SEC/RP, CD, UV- visible spectroscopy, DSC, western blotting, ELISA, and enzyme assays preferred.
Skills – Knowledge of protein formulation, stability, studies, enzyme immobilisation, etc
Education: Ph.D. or master’s from a reputed university/institute in Biochemistry, molecular biology, protein chemistry, biophysics or a related discipline with relevant experience may be considered.
Years of experience – At least 2-4 years of academic or industry experience developing, validating and implementing recombinant protein production workflows is required.
