APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (TWO) FOR THE TIME-BOUND PROJECT AS PER THE DETAILS GIVEN BELOW:
Name of the Post – Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

Name of the Project – Cryopreservation of embryos and semen of sheep and goats for the genetic improvement of non-descript breeds to improve farmers livelihood.
Duration of the Project – Up to August. 2025 or completion of the project whichever is earlier.
Funding Agency: DAHD, GOI under National Livestock Mission
Name of the PI – Dr. Ashish Mishra
Age Limit – 35 years for Men and 40 years for Women on the date of interview. (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidate as oer GOI/ICAR rules)
General Terms & Conditions –
This recruitment is subject to terms and conditions in force in ICAR
for such appointments.(1) There is no provision for absorption/re-employment in NIANP/ICAR after the termination of the project. The service of the persons so engaged will automatically stand terminated with the termination of the project, (2) The employment is purely on a temporary basis and liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof. (3) The candidates will not be paid any TA DA if called for an interview and will have to make their own arrangements for stay etc. for attending the interview, (4) Canvassing in any form will be disqualification of the candidature.

Essential Qualification:
Master’s degree in Animal Physiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology Molecular Biology/ Genetics/Animal Science (s) with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s Degree. Candidates having a Post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualifications or ICAR/CSIR ICMR/UGC or equivalent body or GATE as mentioned in OM No. Edn./6127/2014/ HRD elated 13th July 2015 and 9th
October 2015 of the ICAR and OM SR/S9/Z-09/201 8 or DST dated 30th January, 2019.
Job description & Desired Knowledge – The selected candidate has to carry out routine embryo culture work, molecular biology techniques, various bioinformatics and statistical analyses data etc. Thus, candidates having expertise in the above area will be preferred. Proof of experience in the form of research articles/ publications needs to be submitted.
Emoluments –
- Rs. 31,000.00/month + HRA for the first and second years.
- Rs. 35,000.00/month + HRA for the third year as per ICAR guidelines.
