CALL FOR RESEARCH STAFF POSITION
Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/ Project Associate-II in a time-bound research project for a temporary period purely on contractual basis as per the following details
Position – Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/Project Associate-II
Number of Vacancies – 01
Project Title – Development of sensors for blast and blight diseases and stomatal activity
measurement in rice (O. Sativa L.)
Funding Agency – Indian Council of Agriculture Research-NASF
Principal Investigator – Dr. Prabhat Nath Jha, Department of Biological Sciences
Project Tenure – 9 Months
Upper Age Limit – Age not exceeding 35 years as of the date of interview. Age relaxation is allowed for up to 5 years for SC/ST/PH/OBC/WOMEN candidates.

Job Description – The Candidate will carry out regular microbiology studies of Xanthomonas oryzae for extraction of and characterization of pigment. He/She will also scale up the growth of given microorganisms for pigment extraction and characterization using a fermenter. The candidate will also work on other experiments and assignments related to project work.
Eligibility – M.Sc./ M.Tech. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry or
related life science disciplines.
Desirable – GATE/NET qualified.
Fellowships –
- Rs 35,000 per month for NET/GATE qualified candidates.
- Rs 28,000 per month for non-NET/GATE qualified candidates.
