Poornaprajna Institute of Scientific Research (PPISR), a unit of Admar Mutt Education Foundation (AMEF), was conceptualized in 1998 by the then Pontiff of Admar Mutt His Holiness, the late Sri Vibudhesha Theertha Swamiji, as a centre where scientists would be involved solely in research and training doctoral students.

Research Fellow position (PhD program)
Applications are invited for the JRF positions at PPISR from young enthusiastic researcher for a PhD program under MAHE, Manipal.
No of positions – 03
Duration – 3. 5 Years
Fellowship – Rs. 15,000/- PM Fixed
Required Qualifications – Master’s in Science/Technology in any area with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade. Students who completed their master’s degree and expecting their results can also apply. Students who have cleared exams such as GATE, NET, CSIR JRF/LS are preferred (not mandatory). Students having experience in biochemistry or molecular biology techniques, good communication and writing skills are the added advantage.
Research –
- Selected students will be working on (1) the structure/function relationship of important enzymes and identification of inhibitors / structural biology of T-cell checkpoint blockade inhibitors and rational design of therapeutically important receptor-Fc conjugates for cancer immunotherapy or (2) Discovery of natural inhibitors from plants and microbial sources/modification of therapeutic proteins.
- Once inducted into this program, they will be well trained during the transition and throughout the PhD program. Also, support will be given to clear the senior research fellowships, attend national international meetings. Student is expected to complete the project and submit the PhD in the stipulated time of 3 years and six months after the registration.
