Applications are invited for the post of Project Associate- II (One) and Field Assistant (One) in a SERB project (M -21/1522) entitled “Epidemiological Monitoring of Different sources of city wastewater keeping SARS-CoV-2 in mind: A Public health Concern” sanctioned initially for one year under Dr Rajeev Pratap Singh (PI), Institute of Environment & Sustainable Development, BHU, Varanasi and Professor Sunit Kumar Singh (Co-PI), Molecular Biology Unit, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. The post is purely temporary and coterminous with the project.

Essential Qualifications –

1. Master’s Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Zoology from a recognized University or equivalent (with first division as defined by the awarding Institute/ University).
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in Research and Development in Universities or Research Institutes.

Desirable Qualifications – Experience in the SARS CoV-2 testing laboratories, sound knowledge of Molecular Biology techniques such as RT-PCR and sequencing etc.
