WALK–IN-INTERVIEW

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for a walk-in-interview on 27 June 2022
(Monday) at 10.00 a.m. for recruitment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DST-SERB
funded Project on “Utilizing germplasm diversity of climate resilient crop pearl millet for identification and mapping of heat stress responsive gene(s) and functional annotation of transcriptome adaptation to seedling heat stress’’ purely on a contractual basis at the Division of Genetics, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi-110012.

Terms and Conditions –

1. Age limit: Maximum age is 35 years for men and 40 years for women (relaxation for
   SC/ST/ OBC candidates as per Govt of India rules).
2. The post is purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis till 10 September 2022.
3. The selected candidate shall not claim regular appointments at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
4. The interview for eligible candidates will be held on 27 June 2022 (Monday) at 10.00 AM in the Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI, Pusa Campus, New Delhi-110 012.
5. Reporting time for interview: 9.00-10.30 AM at Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI.
6. The candidates need to bring the filled-in application form (as per the format annexed), original certificates from matriculation onwards (post-graduate degree certificate either original or provisional), NET/equivalent certificate, and self-attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph pasted onto the application form.
7. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
8. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
9. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
10. The candidates are required to submit the application at the time of the interview as per the format annexed along with the declaration.
11. The candidate intends to visit for an interview if any of his near or distant relatives is an employee of the ICAR/IARI has to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, and relationship in writing so as to reach by the 22nd June 2022 to [email protected]. If on the date of the interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed to appear in the interview.
12. All the other candidates are also required compulsorily to furnish the declaration duly signed in the format annexed and submit it on the date of the interview.
13. The candidate has to strictly submit the form annexed (typed/ filled) duly signed on the date of the interview.

Emoluments – Rs. 31000/- plus 24 percent HRA per month

Essential – Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science (i.e Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/
Biochemistry/ Plant Physiology/ Life Sciences) OR Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (i.e. Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Bioinformatics) selected through any one of the processes described as follows –

a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIRUGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.

b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.

Desirable – Experience in molecular markers and or proficiency in bioinformatics tools.
