Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following project positions.
Post I
Name of the Post – Senior Research Fellow
No. of Posts – 01 Position
Name of the Project – ICMR funded project “Proteomics study to explore the signature molecules associated with severe pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 infection.”
Name of the PI – Dr. Amol R. Suryawanshi
Upper Age Limit – 35 years as of 11.07.2022 (Relaxation of age as per Govt. of India rules).

Name of the Post – Project Technician-III
No. of Posts – 01 Position
Name of the Project – ICMR funded project “Proteomics study to explore the signature molecules associated with severe pathogenesis of SARS-CoV-2 infection.”

- Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process.

- All the positions are purely temporary and coterminous with the project. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

For Post I
Essential Qualification –
- Candidates with a Master’s degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Life Sciences with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (relaxation will be given as per Govt. guidelines) from a recognized university and having two years of relevant research experience or MBBS/MVSc. from a recognized university are eligible to apply.
- Candidates should have also a qualified NET-JRF/NET-LS/GATE qualification or be selected through National level examinations conducted by Central Govt. departments and agencies or institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICMR, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc
Desirable Qualification – Preference will be given to candidates having hands-on experience in Research Laboratory/ Institute and Knowledge about Protein research / Mass spectrometry-based proteomics / viral biology and their related techniques.
Fellowship – Rs. 35,000 /- plus HRA pm
For Post II
Essential Qualification – Candidates having +2 science with 1 year DMLT along with two years of relevant research experience or a Graduate degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Life Sciences, etc. are eligible to apply.
Desirable Qualification – Preference will be given to candidates having working experience in Research Laboratory/ Institute and Knowledge about handling clinical/ patient’s samples, clinical data entry, management, etc.
Emolument – Rs. 18,000 /Month (Consolidated)
