Applications are invited from deserved and suitable candidates for the following post under the project entitled “Generating high-depth genomics information for the Himalaya rice cultivars for improving nutritional quality and stress tolerance” under Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India
Post I
Name of the Post – Research Associate-I

Duration – 3 years or co-terminus with the end of the project.
Post II
Name of the Post – Junior Research Fellow
No. of Posts – 01
Age – 28
Duration – 3 years or co-terminus with the end of the project.
How to Apply –
- The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Selected candidates shall not claim for a regular appointment either in IBSD, Imphal and its branches or DBT, New Delhi.
- No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
- The upper age limit for the above-mentioned post is relaxable for reserved categories as per GoI norms.
- The name of the project and applied position should be clearly written on the front of the envelope containing the application form in BLOCK LETTERS.
- The Last date of submission of the application form is 15 days from the date of advertisement.
- The application should reach the Senior Administrative Officer, Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Takyelpat, Imphal-795001, Manipur. A scanned copy of the application form can be sent to the email – [email protected] hard copy should also be sent by post/submit personally.
- Interim queries will not be attended.

- Dully filled-in application form which is given on the next page.
- Copies of mark sheets, certificates, age proof, and Category (in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD applicants, relaxable for reserved categories as per GoI norms).
- Experience certificates, if any.
- In-depth biodata.
- Applicants should provide their no. and e-mail id.
For Post I
Fellowship – Rs. 47,000/- plus 8 percent HRA pm for year III.
Qualification – Ph.D. Degree in Pharmacy/Zoology/Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry or any other equivalent degree.
For Post II
Fellowship – Rs. 31,000/- plus 8 percent HRA for year I & II, Rs. 35,000/- plus 8 percent HRA for year III.
Qualification – M.Sc. in Agriculture sciences/M.Phar./Life Science/Zoology/Botany /Microbiology/ Biotechnology.
Emolument research persona(s) mentioned in the table shall be applicable only if the candidate(s) met educational qualification and eligibility criteria as per DST OM No. SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10/07/2020.
