Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Fellow
Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a research project entitled “Exploring prophylactic activities of diverse structural pectin oligosaccharides: a step towards nutrigenomics” funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
Post I
Name of the Post – Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Name of the Project – “Exploring prophylactic activities of diverse structural pectin oligosaccharides: a step towards nutrigenomics”
Duration – The appointment will be initially for two years as JRF or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier. Further up-gradation from JRF to SRF will be on the basis of the submission of a progress report and further assessment.

SC/ST/OBC/PD and women candidates as per GOI instructions)Post II

Name of the project – “Prophylactic health products from macroalgae and their digestion by human gut microbial communities.”

Duration – The appointment will be initially for one year or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier.

For Post I
Fellowship – Rs. 31000/- per month Plus HRA as per project.
Desired Qualifications –
Post Graduate in professional course (Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology) selected through a process described through any one of the following
a) Scholars are selected through National Eligibility Tests-CSIR UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
b) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Desirable Experience – Analytical Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Molecular cloning and genetic engineering.
For Post II
Fellowship – Rs. 20000/- per month fix
Eligibility – Post Graduate in professional course (Biochemistry/ Microbiology/
Biotechnology) with 55%.
Desirable Experience – Protein biochemistry, Molecular cloning and genetic engineering.
