WALK-IN-INTERVIEW No. 03/Project/2022

Eligible & interested candidates are invited for interview for the purely temporary positions in the following areas under the sponsored projects tenable at CSIR-NBRI

TERMS & CONDITIONS

HRA will be admissible as per the sanction of the projects.

  1. The Application form will be provided at the venue on the date. However, candidates may download the application form in advance from the website www.nbri.res.in. At the time of the interview, candidates should bring one latest photograph, original documents along with a self-attested copy of certificates of examinations passed (starting from matriculation), a certificate indicating date of birth, caste certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC) and experience certificate, etc. Tentative mark sheets/certificates and ‘result awaited’ will not be considered. All eligible candidates are requested to be present at the venue on the said date one hour before the scheduled time for necessary documents verification etc.
  2. Mode of SelectionThrough Interview. However, if a large number of candidates turn up, a Screening test comprising of multiple choice objective questions may be held for shortlisting the candidates for interview. The shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Committee and, based on their performance in the interview; a panel of recommended candidates will be formed. The panel shall be utilized as and when the requirement arises in the projects in the relevant field/area. Candidates have the option to interact in Hindi/English before the committee. In case of turning up of large no. of candidates, the interview may continue for the next day.
  3. The positions are purely temporary on a contract basis and co-terminus with the sponsored projects. Further, the above stipend(s) is tentative and the same will be finally decided based on the availability/provision of funds in the relevant sponsored projects.
  4. In the case of Universities/Institutes awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA grades etc., candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula as per their
    University/Institute.
  5. In case of a large number of candidates turn up for the interview, there is a possibility that interviews may continue till late in the evening or the next day also. Therefore, candidates are requested to make their travel plans accordingly.
  6. The number of position(s) may vary at the time of selection.
  7. To avoid any inconvenience, only those candidates who strictly fulfil the eligibility criteria and possess the degree/mark sheet in the aforesaid subjects should turn up for a walk-in-interview.
  8. While coming for walk-in-interview, candidate(s) are advised to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines.

No TA/DA will be admissible.

Area – I – Plant Diversity, Systematics and Herbarium

Post I

Name of the Project – Systematic studies of the tribe Boehmeriae Gaud. (Urticaceae) in India (GAP-3506)

Age Limit – 35 years

Essential Qualifications

  • M. Sc. in Botany/ Life Sciences/ Plant Sciences with CSIR/ UGC / ICAR / DBT -NETJRF/ LS qualification or GATE OR
  • MSc in one of the above subjects

Desirable Qualifications – Experience in survey and collection of plant specimens /Taxonomy of Angiosperms.

Stipend – Rs. 31000/- p.m. + HRA or Rs. 25,000 pm plus HRA

Name of the Project – Assessment of Pteridophytic diversity in Kotgarh Wildlife Sanctuary, Odisha (GAP-2507)

Essential Qualifications

  • M. Sc. in Botany/ Life Sciences with CSIR/ UGC / ICAR / DBT -NETJRF/ LS qualification or GATE OR
  • MSc in one of the above subjects

Desirable Qualifications – Research experience in the area of taxonomy reproductive biology, tissue culture and observation.

Stipend – Rs. 31000/- p.m. + HRA or Rs. 25,000 pm plus HRA

Post III

Name of the Project – Taxonomic and Phylogenetic studies on Impatients sec Annuae (Balsaminaceae) (GAP-3508)

Essential Qualifications

  • M. Sc. in Botany/ Plant Sciences with CSIR/ UGC / ICAR / DBT -NETJRF/ LS qualification or GATE OR
  • MSc in one of the above subjects

Desirable Qualifications – Experience in plant survey, collection and documentation / Taxonomy of angiosperms / botanical nomenclature/development of molecular markers and its applications

Stipend – Rs. 31000/- p.m. + HRA or Rs. 25,000 pm plus HRA

Post IV

Name of the Project – Taxonomy and ecology of lichenicolous fungi in Eastern Himalaya (GAP-3505)

Essential Qualifications

  • M. Sc. in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Plant Science with CSIR/ UGC / ICAR / DBT -NETJRF/ LS qualification or GATE OR
  • MSc in one of the above subjects

Desirable Qualifications – Experience in studying lichenized or non-lichenized fungi

Stipend – Rs. 31000/- p.m. + HRA or Rs. 25,000 pm plus HRA

Area – II – Plant Genetics Resources & Improvement

Post V

Name of the Project – Leveraging genetic resources for accelerated genetic improvement of Linseed using comprehensive genomics and phenotyping approaches  (GAP-3478)

Essential Qualifications

  • M. Sc. in Botany/ Biotechnology/Plant Breeding/ Genetics / Plant Science/ Life Sciences/ Bioinformatics with CSIR/ UGC / ICAR / DBT -NETJRF/ LS qualification or GATE OR
  • MSc in one of the above subjects

Desirable Qualifications

  1. Molecular markers development and its applications in the breeding field crops.
  2. Basic knowledge of bioinformatics and data analysis

Stipend – Rs. 31000/- p.m. + HRA or Rs. 25,000 pm plus HRA

Age – Age is relaxable for above positions as per Government of India/CSIR instructions issued from time to time.
