Position Overview –
- Experienced in standard laboratory practices
- Microbiology technique, anaerobic culturing
- Molecular characterization
- SDS PAGE, DNA/RNA isolation and DNA Barcoding
- Undertake experimental planning, and analytical research including GC, GC-MS, HPLC and data analysis.
- Work with different research teams on inter-area activities
- Contribute to proposal preparation based on research objectives
- Write research reports, publications and essential dissemination materials.
Technical Competencies –
- Prior working experience in the laboratory for Anaerobic culturing, handling equipment like GC, GC-MS Spectrophotometer, ICP etc.
- Prior working experience and carrying out laboratory works related to Anaerobic Microbiology, Molecular characterization, SDS PAGE, DNA/RNA etc.
- Experience in Microbial Genomics is preferred.
- Strong track record of analytical skill and research, collection & analysing of large data sets & dissemination of outputs
- Intermediate proficiency in employing qualitative and quantitative analytical software is preferable
- Good command of English writing and communication skills
Essential skills – Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and complete work under deadlines
Experience – Minimum 2-3 years
Qualification – Ph.D/M.Sc in Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Microbiology/ BioEngineering
