Key Skills
- Hands-on experience to handle Laboratory Animals Such as Mice, Guinea Pigs and Rabbits.
- Exposure to plan and monitor breeding of Mice, Guinea Pig as per CPCSEA guidelines as well as facility standard procedure.
- Handling and dosing/inoculation of vaccines and bleeding of small Laboratory Animals such as mice and guinea pigs.
- Arrangement of the animal’s on a day to the basis for quality control in vivo testings.
- Able to Prepare the facility-related SOP’s and Training to staff.
- 6. Able to Supervise proper Anaesthesia, Euthanasia of lab animals and biomedical disposal.
- Maintainance of all facility records such as mice and guinea pig breeding and stock records as well as equipment (Autoclave, weighing balance, Euthanasia chamber) related documents.
Qualifications– M.Sc.-Life science ( 5-6 Years ) / B.VSC (Animal Husbandry-2-3 Years)
Desirable Training/certifications –
- Supervisory training course on Laboratory animals from NCLAS (NIN ) Tarnaka, Hyderabad
- FELASA-certificate course in Breeding and management of Lab animals.
