Eligible candidates are invited to attend the walk-in-interview for the following purely temporary positions of non-regular nature under DBT funded network project “Characterization of Chickpea Germplasm resource to Accelerate Genomics-assisted Crop Improvement” at ICAR-NBPGR, RS Shimla to be held on 08.04.2022 from 10.30 onwards

Terms & Conditions–
- Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility like age’ qualification etc before appearing for the interview.
- Candidates having essential qualifications will only be considered for an interview.
- No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview
- The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, selected candidates have no right to claim for regularization or absorption whatsoever in ICAR-NBPGR.
- The decision of the Director of the institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
- The Director shall also reserve the right to terminate the contract of the job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project, for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
- Candidates are required to bring the relevant certificates/ mark sheets, etc. in original along with an application with full bio-data enclosing photocopies of certificates and mark sheets from matriculation onwards duly attested affixing a passport size photograph on the top.
- The selected candidate will be required to produce a medical certificate at the time of joining.
- In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of Shimla court only.
Emoluments per month–
(i) Rs.31000 + HRA for scholars who are selected through (a) CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) or GATE. (b) A selection process through a national level examination conducted by central government departments and their agencies and
institutions.
(ii) Rs 25,000/- + HRA for scholars who do not fall under (i) above.
(iii) From 3rd year onwards: Project Associate II/ Senior Research Fellow @ Rs 35,000 +
HRA for scholars with qualifications as in (i) and Rs 28,000/- + HRA for scholars as
mentioned in (ii) above.
Essential Qualifications – Master’s degree in Biotechnology/ Genetics and Plant Breeding / Botany/Life sciences or 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications – Having experience in plant tissue culture along with adequate knowledge of embryo rescue/ovule culture techniques.
