Name of the Post – Junior Research Fellow

Name of the Project – “Methane oxidation potential and associated methanotrophic bacterial community of tropical moist deciduous forest and grassland soils of Terai ecozone.” [BHU Code: P-07/1252]
Age Limit – 28 years (relaxable up to 3 years for OBC candidates; 5 years for SC/ST/ Physically Handicapped/Female candidates). All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

Qualifications – The candidates should be M.Sc. Botany/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life Science with minimum 55% marks and must have qualified CSIR-UGC NET/GATE/National level examinations conducted by DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Desirable Qualifications – The candidate should have practical knowledge in the area of
microbiology, molecular biology and bioinformatics. Preference will be given to those candidates who have experience in forest microbial ecology.
Salary – Rs 31,000 plus 16 percent HRA
