Applications are to be

filled ONLINE. The online link for submission of the application is available from 23-11-2021 and the last date is 13-12-2021 by 05:00 pm. Candidates must fill online application form at www.niab.org.in. Candidates are advised to fill the online application form in sufficient time before the last date to avoid last-minute technical issues. No need to send a hard copy for S. No. 01 & 02. Interim enquiries will not be entertained. Suitable candidates will be screened, intimated through email and interviewed by duly constituted selection committee online through zoom meeting. Original documents in support of date of birth, educational qualifications, experience certificates are required to be submitted at the time of joining.

Post I

Eligibility – Doctoral Degree (Ph. D.) in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, etc.) from a recognised university or equivalent with experience in any of the following.

Experience – (Candidate with prior experience in any of the following areas will be preferred.)

  1. Isolation and culture of mice/goat oocyte. In-vitro fertilisation of mice/goat oocyte.
  2. Retrieval of mice embryo followed by microinjection of the embryo. Embryo transfer in pseudopregnant female mice.
  3. Handling and experimentation on rodent and goat models.
  4. Generation of an expression vector for genome editing (knock-out and knock-in) using CRISP – Cas9 tools,
  5. Regulation of gene expression by shRNA mediated knockdown,
  6. Cell sorting by FACS/MACS, single-cell sorting and generation of cell lines,
  7. Isolation and culture of Stem cells, transfection and maintenance of stem cells, generation of iPSC, isolation and culture of cells from different tissue sources,
  8. Various molecular biology techniques, like RT-PCR, QRT-PCR, Immunohistochemistry, Immune cytochemistry, Droplet Digital PCR, protein purification and western blot analysis,
  9. Generation of an expression vector by molecular cloning and its in-vitro characterisation, culture and maintenance of cell lines,

Fellowship amount – Rs. 42000/- PM + HRA as per the DST guidelines

Post II

Eligibility – Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Etc.) or Post Graduate degree in professional courses (M. Tech in Life Sciences, M.VSc. Etc.) with 2 years of experience in any of the following.

Experience – (Candidate with prior experience in any of the following areas will be preferred.)

  1. Isolation and culture of mice/goat oocyte. In-vitro fertilisation of mice/goat oocyte.

Fellowship amount – Rs. 35000/- PM + HRA for candidates who have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) including lectureship or GATE. Rs. 28000/-PM+ HRA for candidates without NET or GATE qualification, as per the DST guidelines 10th July 2020.
