Job Description

IFF is a global leader in food ingredients for the dairy industry and we are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our India team as Dairy Application Specialist with a focus on fresh fermented dairy and cheese products.

Your Focus

As Dairy Application Specialist, you will be part of a team of experienced, technically oriented colleagues and your focus will be primarily on in-house lab and pilot activities, combined with some external customer support. The role of the application team is to secure optimal technical support of Cultures & Enzymes to the Dairy, Cheese and Plant-Based Alternatives industries, in close collaboration with Sales and Product management.

This role is based in Gurgaon, India and reporting to the Global Application Leader, Cultures & Dairy Enzymes, Health

& Biosciences application group.

How you will contribute

  • Accountable for our lab & pilot activities including planning, executing, interpreting and documenting experiments to evaluate and optimize the functionality of cultures and enzymes in relevant applications at the lab- and pilot scale.
  • Conduct internal optimization and development projects.
  • Visit our customers to provide technical support in their development projects and run application trials in their facilities.
  • Participate in developing technical sales activities, such as product and technology training sessions and innovation workshops.

Job Requirements

What you will need to be successful

  • Degree in Dairy Science or Food Science technology, combined with Dairy Engineer or Dairy Technologist experience in a similar industry.
  • Experience with analytical techniques (microbiology, sensory and texture) is important.
  • Specific experience within the use of Cultures and Dairy Enzymes will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Good communication skills to enable solid interaction externally as well as internally.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic environment with the ability to both perform as a team player and to function autonomously.
  • Self-starter with good organizational skills and great attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel, mostly to customer commercial production sites.
