PG Medical Virology Course at Jamia Hamdard University
The Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi has launched a new two years postgraduate (PG) course, M.Sc. (Masters of Science) in Medical Virology from the current academic session 2021-22.
Eligibility: The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree like BSc, BVSc, BTech or MBBS in any relevant specialization like Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Science or Biochemistry with at least 50 percent score or equivalent grades and from any recognised university or college in the country.

The Medical Virology course will cover basic virology and new concepts into the virus
biology, host pathogen interaction, antiviral drug discovery, gene therapy, vaccine
development and viral diagnostics. The students will be trained project design, experiment
execution, data collection, data analysis and publication process through dissertation in a
research lab or industry.

- The Biomedical Sciences course at Jamia Hamdard has been designed so that students initially acquire an integrated understanding of biomedical science; allows them to shape their subsequent studies towards the topics that interest them the most.
- Practical laboratory work form an integral part of this programme and you will be
required to complete these practical elements to a satisfactory standard in order
to progress through the course. As the course progresses, increasing emphasis is
placed on scientific research, as students obtain first-hand experience of
laboratory research in the later stages. - Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences/Life Sciences/ Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiology/ Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Environmental/Biology/ Biotechnology/ Toxicology/Clinical Sciences/Laboratory Techniques/ B.Pharm/ B.V.Sc. with at least 50% marks in the aggregate.
