Name of the Project – “The porin passport control for antibiotic translocation: From single-molecule detection to biological relevance”
Age – Below 32 years as of October 29, 2021. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
Duration – Three years or till termination of the project whichever is earlier. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year and extendable till termination of the project based on performance evaluation on yearly basis.

If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate application forms should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co-terminus at the end of the project.Applications that are not in the prescribed format will summarily be rejected.
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need to apply. Applicants will be shortlisted for the ONLINE selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.
Essential Qualifications –
- Candidates with a Master’s degree in Life sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology are eligible to apply. Applicants should have a minimum of 60% marks. Candidates with M.Tech degrees are also eligible to apply.
- The Candidate should have qualified National Eligibility Test – CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)/ or National Level Examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions viz., DBT-Biotechnology Eligibility Test/ Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology & Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JBEEBILS)/ ICMR Entrance Exam/ Approved DST Inspire Fellowship etc.
- A minimum of one year experience in working with membrane proteins, single-molecule biophysics techniques, synthetic cells, liposomes, nanosciences, molecular biology, analytical chemistry, organic and inorganic chemistry.
Emoluments – ₹ 31,000/- plus 16 percent HRA pm.
