Job Title: Post Doctoral Fellow (PDF)

Applications are invited for the following posts at the Center for Excellence of Clinical
Microbiome Research (CCMR), AIIMS Bhubaneswar. Candidates should duly fill the application form (As per the prescribed Performa) and soft copies of educational qualifications, experience certificate along with a passport size photo should be emailed along with CV on or before 5.00 pm, 09th October 2021. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. The interview will be conducted online for shortlisted candidates on 11-10-2021 (link to be sent at 10.00 am, 11th October).

Terms and conditions:

1. These are tenure vacancies under the funded project as well as are not employment on AIIMS Bhubaneshwar payroll. Employment will certainly be automatically terminated upon completion of the project and there is no liability for permanent employment on AIIMS, Bhubaneshwar or Principal Investigator. Also, the candidates have no right to the insurance claim permanent employment based upon this job.
2. Age Concession: Age relaxation is admissible in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates, Retrenched Government Employees, Departmental Candidates (including projects), and Ex-servicemen in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time. Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects will also be admissible for experienced and skilled persons.
3. Selected candidates have to undergo training at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
4. All other terms and conditions will be regulated by the guidelines as issued by AIIMS
   Bhubaneswar.
5. This position will be purely on a temporary/contractual basis for the specified period of time and based on the project and maybe terminated earlier than expected.
6. All educational professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognized
   Board/University and full-time.
7. The experience requirement specified should be experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications required for the post.
8. No TA/DA will be admissible to appear in the interview, including (SC/ST candidates).
9. The salary is a consolidated sum without any other benefits.
10. The engagement may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the PI.
11. No individual call letters will be sent.

Essential Qualification: PhD in Bioinformatics with minimum 1-year experience in
analysing shotgun/16s rRNA Microbiome sequencing data as well as other types of Omics
data. Experience working in large multi-centric studies and managing the overall project
includes but is not limited to

1. Familiarity with functional genomic and/or metagenomic data
2. Proficiency in one or more scripting languages appropriate for scalable data analysis
3. Ability to communicate scientific material.
4. Interact with wet lab scientists including microbiologists, immunologists and biochemists as well as with clinicians.
5. Proven record of scientific advances leading to high impact factor publications.

Desirable Experience: PhD in Bioinformatics experience with good knowledge of cloud
computing, server management and human genetics-microbiome research.

Salary Scale Consolidated: Rs. 60,000/-
