Title of Project: Project entitled “Charting a dendritic cell signaling network modulating intestinal inflammation” funded by DBT

Conditions:

1. The applicants chosen for the above posts will certainly be on contract for one year or
   period of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2. No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
3. Candidates may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/ PH as well as attach documentary proof of the same.
4. No TA/DA will certainly be paid for attending the interview if called for.
5. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated by email about the date and time of the interviews. Interview of shortlisted candidates will be held online through video conferencing.
6. Apart from sending applications in the prescribed format given below, candidates
   should send complete Curriculum Vitae along with the names of three referees.
   Curriculum Vitae should contain details of the experimental expertise.
7. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

GIVEN BELOW, through e-mail, to the Investigator of the project, clearly indicating the name of the project along with their complete C.V., contact details and three recommendation letters. All the necessary documents should be sent as one PDF file. The PDF file should be named – ‘Name of applicant Position applied’. Only Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview and also they required to submit attested copies of all their certificates and a Demand Draft of Rs 100/- drawn on Canara Bank or Indian Bank payable at Delhi/New Delhi in favour of the Director, NII (SC/STPH and Women applicants are exempted from payment of fees) subject to submission of documentary proof), at the time of interview.

PS: Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Interview will be held Online mode only. 

Emoluments: The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per the Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience.

Rs. 35,000 plus 24 per cent HRA (As per DST OM dated 30.01.2019)

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have secured at least 60% Marks in M.Sc. having a minimum of three years of research experience in a reputed institute. The candidate should have cleared any National Level Eligibility Test (NET/GATE etc).

Job Description & Desired Knowledge:

Basic expertise in biochemistry, cell biology and molecular biology techniques. Research expertise in vivo animal work is also preferred and knowledge in the area of cell signalling, inflammation immunology. Candidates have at least one publication in an internationally reputed journal.
