ONLINE INTERVIEW
Applications are invited to attend Online Interview DBT and SERB funded projects at the Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-12, as mentioned below. The posts are purely on a contractual basis.
Owing to the prevailing COVID-19 crisis, the qualified applicants are asked to send their
application in the enclosed proforma along with a scanned copy of the original documents to the concerned PI’s e-mail addresses as given below latest by 11.06.2021. After screening the applications, the eligible candidates will be called by email for the online interview which is fixed for 14th June 2021 from 10 A.M onwards. Original documents will certainly be verified at the time of appointment. How to Apply:
- Age limit: Max age 35 years (age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).
- Those candidates who have already applied for these posts against an advertisement dated 17th April 2021 are requested not to apply again.
- The posts are totally short-term and will be filled on a contractual basis initially for up to 31-03-2022, which might be extended periodically based on performance till the termination of the project.
- The chosen candidate will not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
- The interview for eligible candidates will certainly be held online, the information of which will be communicated to eligible candidates by e-mail.
- Reporting time for on-line interview will certainly be communicated and the candidate shall comply with the instructions.
- The applicants will certainly have to compulsorily complete the application form (according to the format annexed), all the scan certificates from matriculation onwards, date of birth certification, degree certificate either original or provisional and a recent picture enclosed onto the scan application. Proof of experience, as well as publications additionally, require to be sent by email. The chosen applicant will be required to produce all the original documents and medical certificate at the time of joining.
- No TA/DA/ any other expenses will be paid for attending the interview.
- Only the candidates having essential qualifications would certainly be entertained for the online interview.

- The candidate intending to attend the on-line interview, if any of his near or distant relatives is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing so regarding reach by 11/06/2021. If on the date of online interview such declaration is furnished and also found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such applicant will not be allowed to appear in the interview.
- All the other applicants are additionally required compulsorily to submit the scan declaration duly signed in the format annexed together with other documents in the email.
- In case of any disputes, they will be resolved in the jurisdiction of the New Delhi court only.
For Post I
Salary: JRF at Rs. 31000/- plus 24 percent HRA per month for 1st and 2nd year & SRF
at Rs. 35,000/- plus 24 percent HRA for 3rd year
Essential Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree in basic science or graduate/ post-graduate degree in professional courses selected through a process described through any norms given in DST Office
Memorandum (O.M) No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 i.e
a. Scholars who are selected via National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) as well as GATE.
b. The selection process via National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and also their Agencies as well as Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE. DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR. IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
c. SRF: Qualification prescribed for JRF with two years of research experience
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in molecular markers and proficiency in computer skills.
For Post II
Salary: JRF at Rs. 31000/- plus 24 percent HRA per month for 1st and 2nd year & SRF
at Rs. 35,000/- plus 24 percent HRA for 3rd year
Essential Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree in basic science (Life Sciences) or graduate/ post-graduate degree in professional courses (Life Sciences including Agricultural Sciences) selected through a process described through any one of the following:
a. Scholars who are selected via National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) as well as GATE.
b. The selection process via National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and also their Agencies as well as Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE. DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR. IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
