Title of the Project: Structural characterization of recombinant therapeutic proteins using mass spectrometry.

Age*: 35 years

*Age limit, as shown above, is relaxable by 5 years in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST community and 3 years in respect of candidates belonging to OBC community.

Duration: The engagement will be originally for six months, which may be extended or curtailed depending upon the period of the tenure of the sponsored project as well as/ or performance or conduct of the appointee, as the case may be. The engagement will be totally short-term and shall not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary or otherwise, as well as shall not entitle

the appointee to any right/claim whatsoever, implicit or explicit, for his/her consideration against any type of CSIR/NCL post/fellowship.

The prescribed educational qualifications are a bare minimum and merely possessing exact same will certainly not entitle applicants to be called for an interview. Based on the recommendation of the Screening Committee, the Project Leader may limit the number of candidates to be called for interview to reasonable limitations after taking into consideration qualifications and experience over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed in the Notice. Therefore, it will certainly be in the interest of the candidates, to mention all the qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of applying.

The candidates recommended by the Screening Committee should directly appear before the Selection Committee in online mode utilizing the Google Meet platform at 9.30 a.m. on 31st May 2021 (Monday). No interview call letter will be issued separately.

No TA/DA will certainly be admissible for appearing for the interview. Chosen applicants will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer of engagement.

Emoluments:

i. 31,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are chosen with (a) National Eligibility Tests CSIR-UGC
NET consisting of lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process.
with National level exams conducted by Central Government Departments as well as their.
Agencies as well as Institutions.

ii. 25,000/ for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Job requirement: Day to day lab work, experimentation involving LC-MS and various spectroscopic analysis, Report preparation as well as documentation.

Qualifications:

Essential: Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University or equal.

Desirable experience if any:

• Good academic record as well as having sound research expertise in analytical characterization of biopharmaceutical proteins like antibody fragments or antibodies.
  
• 0-2 year industrial experience in analytical characterization of biopharmaceuticals like
  antibodies/fragments etc.
