WALK-IN-INTERVIEW

Applications, as per the details given below are invited for filling of short-term
positions of Project Associate( Level-11), Senior Project Fellow, Junior Research Fellows, Junior Project Fellows and Project Assistants under different PLAN & EAP as well as being implemented in this institute. The positions to be filled will certainly be purely on a short-term basis co-terminus with the projects. The short-term engagements are the only project-related, and also will in no way confer any type of entitlement for claiming a permanent post/appointment in the Institute.

How to Apply:

• Candidates are to deposit their application forms/ C.V. latest by 07-04-2021 (giving details of Name, Date of birth, Father’s Name, Permanent & Current Address, Educational qualification from High School/ Higher Secondary onwards with the name of Institution, Year of Passing, Marks obtained, Medium of study and field experience, with one key size colour photo fastened on it). They are additionally asked to attach self-attested photocopies of all the testimonials in addition to the application. The original mark-sheets, certifications, experience certifications etc are additionally needed to be verified on the day of the interview or eventually of time.
• The initial appointments will be for one year in case of the above Projects and also the duration will be extended further subject to the performance of the candidate under the respective project.
• Proficiency of the applicant in computer application especially MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc, might be of included benefit to the applicant.
• The candidate must be medically fit to work in different areas of the state consisting of high altitude zones.
• All the interested applicants and having needed/ essential educational qualification may attend a walk-in-interview on 12-04-2021 starting at 10.30 AM in the institute.
• Applications for each of the position are to be submitted separately or else their candidature is liable to be rejected.
• Age in the case of JRF/JPF needs to not exceed 28 years as of 01st June of the year. Further relaxation of 5 years in age to SC/ST/ OBC/ Woman & physically handicapped applicants will be given as per approved rules.

Emoluments:

For NET qualified

• Rs. 31,000/- per month (fixed)
  OR
• Rs. 20,000/- per month plus 8 percent  HRA as admissible
  OR
• Rs. 23,000/- per month plus 8 percent HRA as admissible

Essential Qualification: First Class M.Sc. in Biotechnology, Genetics, Botany/ Forestry/ Agriculture with specialization in Molecular Biology.

Desirable Qualification: (For SPF, have to possess 02 years of working experience in Molecular characterization work).

Name of the Project: Study of climate driven effects on Indian forests through long term
monitoring (AlCRP-31)

Name of the PI: Dr Ashwani Tapwal Scientist-E

Period: 03 Years (Mar 21 to Dec 2024)

Emoluments:

• For NET qualified: Rs. 31,000/- per month (fixed)
• For Non-NET: Rs. 20,000/- per month plus HRA as admissible

Essential Qualification: First Class M.Sc. in Botany/ Plant Pathology/ Forestry/ Biotechnology/ Zoology / Entomology.

Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the candidates having experience/ knowledge in the field of Mycology as well as Plant Pathology. (Applicant need to conduct frequent tours to different parts of NW Himalayas for sample collection).

Emoluments: Rs. 20,000/- per month plus 8 percent HRA

Essential Qualification: First Class M.Sc. in. Zoology / Life sciences/ Entomology.

Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in Forest Entomology.
