Project Title: Screening and molecular identification of alternate latex producing plant resources from South India for sustainable supply of Natural Rubber (NR)
Mode of Selection for Periyar University Vacancy:
Interested eligible applicants need to report to the Dr P. Venkatachalam, Professor & Head, Principal Investigator, Department of Biotechnology, Periyar University, Salem – 636 011, TN at the scheduled date as well as time cited above. Selection will be carried out with application screening, followed by an interview process.

Fellowship for Periyar University Vacancy: Rs 17,000 pm (Consolidated)
Essential Qualifications: M.Sc., in Biotechnology with specialization in Plant Biology/ Plant Biotechnology/Botany and also experience in natural rubber plant research.
Desirable Experience, as well as Abilities, Required:
- Candidates should have excellent knowledge in identification of natural rubber plants collection, cultivation as well as hands-on experience in Plant Tissue Culture and Molecular Biology techniques.
- Preference will be given to the candidates that have actually done project work in Plant Tissue culture.
