Age limit (according to date of interview):
i) up to 28 years. In the case of JRF candidates up to 31 years (28 +3 years for activation based on JRF standards).
ii) Age relaxation of up to 5 years (up to 33 years) for SC/ST/Differently abled/women candidates.
iii) 3 years (up to 31 years) for OBC (Non-creamy layer).

The candidate must attach the receipt of online payment of fees and indicate the online receipt number in the application form. - The prescribed essential qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same won’t entitle the candidate to be called for an interview. The Institute reserves the right to select a suitable candidate.

Qualifications:
Essential:
(i) Masters (1st class) in Agriculture with specialization in Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Ag. Biotechnology with 4 years bachelor’s degree OR
(ii) Masters (1st class) in Biotechnology/Botany with 3 years bachelor’s degree. The applicant needs to be qualified in any type of one of the following tests: CSIR/UGC/ICMR including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) OR GATE National Level exam DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc., IISER etc.
Desirable: (i) Research experience in wheat breeding, field layout, computer skills, statistical analysis, scientific writing skills.
