2. AGE LIMIT:
The candidate must be an Indian national. The applicant should be less than 28 years.
of age as on the last date for receipt of application. Age relaxation is applicable up to 3 years in case of Other Backward Class applicants, 5 years in case of Scheduled Caste and also Scheduled Tribe candidates and ten years in case of persons with disabilities applicants.

3. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
I. Applicants should have a consistently excellent academic record and ought to have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate in B.Sc. and 55% aggregate in M.Sc. from a recognized University.

4. SELECTION PROCEDURE

Degree and Mark sheets) on the dates intimated to the candidates by the Department.
viii. The number of fellowships indicated within this advertisement is approximate and might vary as per the requirement at the time of final selection. The Centre reserves the right not to fill the fellowships if it’s so desired. BARC reserves the right to screen and call only such candidate as can be found prima-facie suitable for being considered by the Selection Committee. 6. APPLICATION FEE FOR BARC Life Science JRF Fellowships 2020
i) Application fee of 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) is payable at the time of submission of online application. Mode of payment of the Application Fee is only through Online.
ii) Application fee is exempted for Women applicants and applicants coming from Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Person with Disabilities.

8. TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE

9. MEDICAL
The chosen candidates are eligible to join the Contributory Health Services Scheme of the Centre as applicable.
10. ACCOMMODATION
The chosen candidates will be provided with subsidized bachelor Hostel Accommodation only for an initial period of one month. The candidates will be assisted to get accommodation on rental basis.
11. FELLOWSHIP AND TENURE FOR BARC Life Science JRF Fellowships 2020
The selected candidates will certainly be originally taken as Junior Research Fellows (JRF) and will certainly be paid a stipend of Rs. 31,000/- each month. The fellowship will certainly be provided initially for a period of 2 years. Continuation of the fellowship is subject to satisfactory performance and review at the completion of every year.
