How to Apply:
The above positions are completely on a short-term basis as well as co-terminus with the project. The fellowship/emolument amount for the above positions
are as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST standards. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier, as well as the same, can be curtailed/ extended on the basis of an assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to choose the candidate against the above post relying on the qualification and also experience of the applicant. Reservation of posts will be based on Govt. of India standards. The appointment might be ended any time by giving one-month notification by either side. The candidates will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any type of regular position of NIPGR.Qualified applicants might apply by sending a soft copy with e-mail in the given format with a cover letter showing interest together with self- attested soft copies of the mark-sheets, certificates, (from Class X onwards) and proof of research experience/publications. For Post I
Essential Qualification: Candidates having doctorate (PhD) degree awarded in Life Sciences or equal with great publication record are eligible to apply. The applicant needs to have outstanding experience of more than 2 years in plant tissue culture and also developing transgenic events in Brassica crops. Candidate having previous work experience in performing molecular analysis and also phenotyping of transgenic and genome-editing events is extremely desirable.
For Post II
Eligibility: Applicants chosen via National Eligibility Tests as mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number SR/S9/Z -08/ 2018 dated January 30, 2019. Applicants having M.Sc./ M.Tech degree (with minimal 60% marks) in Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology or equal as well as a minimum of two years of post-M.Sc./ M.Tech research experience are eligible to apply. Candidate with previous work experience in plants will certainly be favoured.
For Post II
Eligibility: Applicants having doctorate (PhD) degree awarded in Life Sciences or equal with excellent publication record are eligible to apply. Candidate ought to have work experience in plant tissue culture, Plant metabolism and also plant-pest/pathogen studies as well as having excellent publication record will certainly be favoured.
