Applications are welcomed from talented as well as motivated applicants for working in recently sanctioned projects of CSIR-CSMCRI by Science and also Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India project entitled “Mitigation of salinity stress tolerance in Sesamum indicum L. using a novel ABA-dependent SbMYB44 transcription factor from halophyte Salicornia brachiata” as well as Council of Scientific as well as Industrial Research, New Delhi project entitled “Genome sequencing of Recreto halophyte Aeluropus lagopoides (L.) trin. Ex Thw. (Poaceae)” at CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar. The details of the posts are as following:

Application Procedure for CSMCRI:

Interested candidates meeting the above requirements may send their scanned copy of the duly signed application against this advertisement in the institute’s website (www.csmcri.res.in) together with the supporting documents by e-mail [email protected]/ [email protected]. The last date for sending out the application is 28th August 2020 (Friday). Applications received by mail will certainly be scrutinized based upon certain criteria as well as only such shortlisted applicants as are eligible according to criteria will be asked to attend the interview using the online mode. The details of the interview will certainly be sent to such applicants by email. The interview of the shortlisted candidates is scheduled on 4th September 2020 at 10.30 A.M via Skype. The chosen applicants may pursue the PhD programme in AcSIR as per the guidelines.
Duration: These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project tenure. It would, not give any type of right/claim implicit or explicit for any type of applicant for claiming absorption in CSIR- CSMCRI.
Final year appearing students (M. Sc.) don’t apply.
For Post I
Qualification*: M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Life Science / Microbiology /Botany/ Biochemistry.
Job Requirement: The selected candidates will work on molecular biology and biotechnology-related project activities.
Emoluments: DST Project Associate-I: ₹ 31,000+HRA/- per month
For Post II
Qualification*: M.Sc. with 55% marks in Biotechnology/ Life Science / Microbiology /Botany/ Biochemistry.
Job Requirement: The selected candidates will work on molecular biology and biotechnology-related project activities.
Emoluments: CSIR Project Assistant-II: ₹ 31,000+HRA/- per month
For Post III
Qualification*: Ph.D. in Biotechnology/ Life Science / Botany/ Biochemistry/ Plant Science/ Biological Science. Two publications in SCI journal is essential.
Job Requirement: The selected candidates will work on molecular biology and biotechnology-related project activities.
Emoluments: CSIR Research Associate-I: ₹ 47000/- per month)
