POSITION PURPOSE:
- We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a solid technological background as well as data experience to join the Vegetable R&D Analytics as well as Pipeline
- Design team as a Field and Nursery Digital Specialist, with a focus on In-Season Operations in Bangalore, India. This role will manage the current
logistical IT pipeline and also data operations for enterprise and local IT nursery and also field platform workflows, including business workflow adoption as well as
procedure improvement. This includes collaborating with a varied group of global cross-functional scientists, breeders, as well as IT teams.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead key logistical pipeline operational field and nursery IT workflows in key technical areas including Experimental Design, Trial Mapping, Physical
Seed Planting Operations, Printing, Product trials, Data Analysis as well as Visualization. - Perform Data management operations including curation as well as stewardship in support of field and nursery advancement and registration workflows.
- Lead effort to deploy key platform updates during seasonal operations including data collection, operations as well as decisions for pipeline advancements.
- Drive project management of business workflow design, launch, adoption and maintenance for software and hardware platforms.
- Develop extra operational IT business workflows for advanced phenotypic data collection platforms as well as analytical field or nursery methods.
- Continual procedure improvement through regular as well as frequent communication with regional partners and teams around the world.
- Growth opportunities for added advanced data analyses and also platform enablement.
Required Candidate profile:
- PhD +0 years’ experience or MS +2 years’ experience or BS as well as 5+ years’ experience in Plant Breeding, Biological Science or related field
- Applied knowledge of experimental design, including a strong background in stats.
- Previous support of hardware and/or software in major pipeline operation.
- Demonstrated SQL, data stewardship as well as data management skills; advocate for improved digital and FAIR data workflows.
- Outstanding written and oral communication; Complete proficiency in English with the capability to coordinate as well as clearly communicate information between
technological IT teams, scientists and also business stakeholders. - Outstanding interpersonal and organizational abilities to collaborate, problem-solve and also enact business solutions effectively with international and also interdisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated project leadership as well as influence abilities that develop trusting partnerships with cross-functional teams.
- Successful participation in Agile design process for IT solutions.
- Business project management experience.
- Change management experience using a formal method such as PROCI– ADKAR.
- Basic knowledge in one or more of the following languages: Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Hebrew, or French.
- Experience in SQL, R/Python, or Spotfire/Tableau
