National Institute of Biomedical Genomics is looking for bright and motivated minds in the fields of Genomics
Core Technologies Research Initiative (CoTeRI)
To facilitate the pursuit of genomics, NIBMG provides help to scientists of various other publicly-funded institutions in India–primarily, however not exclusively, on a collaborative mode– by providing accessibility to its high-end, high-throughput technology platforms through its Core Technologies Research Initiative, CoTeRI (http://www.nibmg.ac.in/?q=coteri). Consolidated Pay: 20,000/- plus 24 percent HRA
Essential Qualification:
- MSc or equivalent (or BSc with 3 years of laboratory experience) in Genetics/Life Sciences/Biochemistry/related discipline;
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in genomics laboratory work.
Desirable Qualification: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in massively parallel sequencing/microarray laboratory work.
Nature of Duty: Hands-on massively parallel sequencing laboratory work as well as instrument operations as well as various other associated lab activities.
For Post II
Consolidated Pay: 20,000/- plus 24 percent HRA
Essential Qualification:
- MSc or equivalent in Computer science/Statistics/Bioinformatics/related discipline.
- Proficiency in Unix scripting
- Experience in file handling programming using C/C++, Python.
Desirable Qualification:
- Experience in handling of software packages, databases pertaining to Genomics.
- Experience in handling DNA sequence/genotyping data/RNA-Seq/DNA Methylation/ Microarray data.
Nature of Duty: QA/QC and also analysis of raw sequence as well as genotyping data generated by massively parallel sequencing and microarray platforms.
