Research Fellow Job Opening

Applications are invited on the prescribed form along with the application fee of Rs. 200/- in shape of Bank Draft payable at Ludhiana in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana on any working day from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. along with attested copies of certificates for these positions in different projects as given below:

1. One position of Junior Research Fellow @ Rs. 31000/- per month + HRA 16% in the Project entitled “From QTLs/genes to direct seeded rice variental development to meet future challenges, CSS-116 (PC-6321). Interview online on Zoom aap at 03:00 p.m.

Qualifications for the post of Junior Research Fellow.

1. B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
2. M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Molecular Genetics/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Life Sciences with at least an OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.

Note-I: The candidates who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess Ph.D degree in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.

Note-II: The candidate have passed NET/ GATE exam.

Maximum Age 28 Years.

2. One position of Junior Research Fellow @ Rs. 25000/- per month + 20% HRA for 1^st and 2^nd year and SRF @ Rs.28000/- p.m + 20% HRA for 3^rd year in the project “Pyramiding of rust resistance genes into high grain quality wheat lines developed through marker-assisted selection’’ CSS-16 (PC-6262). Interview online on Zoom aap at 03:30 p.m.

For the position of Junior Research Fellow @ Rs. 25,000/-pm +20% HRA.

1. B.Sc. with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.

2. M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Molecular Genetics/Plant Breeding and Genetics/Life Sciences with at least an OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.

Note-I: The candidates, who do not possess Mater’s degree in the relevant subject but possess PhD degree in the discipline required at the Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.

Note-II: Desirable: Candidates with experience in Bioinformatics and NET by ARS, DBT, CSIT/UGC NET or GATE cleared.

3. One position of Junior Research Fellow @ Rs. 31000/- per month + HRA 16% in the Project entitled “Mitochondrial genome assembly, analysis and development of molecular markers for cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS) gene in tropical onion” CSS-107 (PC-6314). Interview online on Zoom aap at 04:00 p.m.

Qualifications for the post of Junior Research Fellow.

1. B.Sc/ B.Tech (Biotech/Bioinformatics/ Life Sciences) with minimum OCPA 6.00/10.00 basis or 60% marks.
2. M.Sc/ M.Tech in Genomics/Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/Computational Biology/ System Biology/ Life Sciences with at least an OCPA 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.

Note-I: The candidates who do not possess a Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possess PhD degree in the discipline required at the Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.

Note-II: The candidate must have passed NET (JRF/LS) or GATE exam or Any National level examination conducted by Central Government, Derpatmentsand their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISC, IISER etc.
