Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Government of India. Now. GOREF invites applications for the below mentioned posts to work in the following project titled

Name of the Post: Research Scientist (Basic Science)

Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Genetics/Biotechnology -Minimum 5 years of Post-Doctoral Experience in Human Genomics/Metagenomics /Biomarker Discovery and related

Name of the Post: Scientist (Biostatistics)

Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics/ Population genetics/Statistical
genetics with minimum of 5 years of Post-Doctoral experience. High impact publications in relevant areas are compulsory.
Roles & Responsibilities: Adequate knowledge in analyzing clinical and laboratory experimental data using appropriate statistical tools. Expertise with advanced statistical tools, algorithms, models and software (STATA/GraphPad prism /SAS/SPSS) as per the requirement of the project.

Name of the Post: Research Associate (Basic Science)
No. of Posts: 01
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D in life sciences or MD/MS/MDS (in medical sciences) or with 2-3 years of Post-Doctoral research experience in Human Genomics/Proteomics;
Minimum 3 papers in relevant areas is needed.
Roles & Responsibilities: Designing and execution of experiments guide and monitor the project fellows in executing the project activities. Check the quality of the experiments & analyze data and help in compilation of the data. Provide leads for new projects.

Name of the Post: Research Associate (Bioinformatics)
No. of Posts: 01
Minimum Qualifications: PhD in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology with minimum of 2-3 years of PostDoctoral research experience in Big Data Analysis of Human Proteomics
/Metagenomics data; Publications in high impact journals will be given preference
Roles & Responsibilities: Conducting bioinformatics analysis of proteome and
Metagenome data, develop pipeline for high throughput analysis for Metagenome and proteome data for biomarker discovery. Periodical update of the software tools and back up the data obtained from the study.
Post V
Name of the Post: Senior Research Fellow
No. of Posts: 03
Minimum Qualifications: MSc / MTech in Biotechnology/Genomics/ Bioinformatics/ Computational Biology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry with two years of research experience; Candidates will be encouraged to register their Ph.D. in reputed Government Universities subject to affiliation.
Roles & Responsibilities: Conduct experiments on assigned topics using internationally approved protocolsin consensus with the project scientist. Conducting all the wet lab experiments, present the data obtained with periodical seminars. Publicationsin
high impact journals.
DURATION: Five years
