Summer Training Program 2020 at Department of Bioengineering, NIT Agartala
National Institute of Technology Agartala, located close by the city of Agartala, the capital of Tripura state, is a leading technical institute in North-East India. The Department of Bioengineering is one of the vibrant departments of the institute catering knowledge in a broad and quickly evolving multidisciplinary field. The major thrust of the department includes biochemical engineering, immunology, bioinformatics, industrial biotechnology
as well as nanobiotechnology. The department of Bioengineering, NIT Agartala is welcoming undergraduate students of B.E./ B.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioengineering, or any other pertinent discipline to participate in the summer training program to be held in May ‘2020.
Mode of training:
1. Introductory training in handling instruments in: Microbial cell handling and also Upstream & Downstream processing of microbial cell.
Duration and Probable Time Period:
Department would certainly offer training to the
applicants on May 18th– June 19th 2020, starting from 18th May’ 2020 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 pm.Application as well as Selection procedure:
- Candidates are asked to send out the original copy of the filled up the application to the Department of Bioengineering, NIT Agartala before 18th May’ 2020.
- Candidates are asked to send a scanned copy of the exact same by e-mail prior to 12th May’ 2019.
- A departmental committee will select the applicants who will be intimated through mail.
- The chosen applicants will need to pay Rs. 6,000/- per participant. A demand draft drawn in favour of Registrar, NIT Agartala payable at Agartala would need to be submitted to the department at the time of admission.
Hostel Accommodation: Hostel and mess facility may be provided, based upon the availability, for the participating students. Added costs will be applicable to these facilities according to institute norms.
Certificate: The department of Bioengineering will issue certificates to the participants upon successful completion of training.
