All qualified GATE candidates who intend to apply to IIT Hyderabad for M.Tech admission must register at the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). The COAP Registration number will be required at the time of filling out the online M.Tech application form at IIT Hyderabad portal.

The M.Tech. programmes offered in various disciplines and streams by different departments of the institute are based on the credit system and provide a student with a wide choice of courses. Each programme comprises of several core and elective courses and project work.

PROGRAMS OFFERED:
Two Year Regular MTech Program
• Eligibility
• a) Candidates with B.Tech or M.Sc in any branch of life sciences with a valid GATE score in BT or XL only are eligible to apply.
• Selection: Candidates will be selected based on GATE score. Offers will be made through COAP.
• b) IIT B.Tech graduates with CGPA of 8.0 or above without GATE score are eligible to apply.
• Selection: Candidates will be selected based on the performance in the written test and/or interview.
• *All the students under the regular MTech program are eligible for fellowship as per MHRD guidelines.
Self-sponsored MTech program
• Eligibility
• a) Candidates with a B.Tech or M.Sc in any branch of life sciences with a CGPA of 7.0 or above are eligible to apply. GATE score is not mandatory.
• Selection: Candidates will be selected based on the performance in the written test and/or interview.
• #This is a non-subsidized program, wherein a student pays tuition fee per credit basis. The candidates registered in this program are NOT eligible for any financial assistance/fellowship.

Registration
Our Registration Page will ask you to provide a valid login id, email address and password. Please note that we will use this email address for further communication with you. Click here to Register.
Step 2
Login in to our System
Please Provide the login id and password which you had chosen at the time of Registration with our system. (When ever you login first time our system will ask you for secret key which you received through the email at the time of registration) Click here to Login.
Step 3
Click on the link ‘Click here to apply’ and Choose the department by clicking on arrow of corresponding department
Step 4
Fill or update your application details by clicking on appropriate arrows. Please note that once you fill or update the information in the appropriate form you need to click on either save/submit button so that your data will be stored in our system.
Please delete the row wherever it is not applicable to you by clicking on the symbol
‘ which is at the right end of the row.
Step 5
Application Fee
- All GEN/OBC : Rs.300/-
- All SC/ST/PwD : Rs.150/-
- All Females : Rs.150/-
Payment Procedure
We are accepting fee through SBI-Collect.
At the time of paying the fee please save the reference document you received from the bank.
- Save ‘SBCollect Reference Number’ in Payment Reference Number column of Application Fee Page
- Upload the reference document by clicking the link provided in Checklist page

Step 6
Submit your application by clicking on ‘Submit Application’ button. Unless You submit the application by pressing the above button your application will not be considered.
Step 7
After submission you should take printout of your application by clicking on the ‘Print Application’ button.
Step 8
If you are called for the Written test/Interview you need to carry all your documents, printout of your application (Which you will receive through email after last date of submission) , payment reference document and certificates with you.
Step 9
One can apply to several departments. If you want to apply to several departments you need to fill a separate application for each department you want to apply. To fill your application for the department “XYZ” first login to our system and choose “XYZ” in the list of department names. Please note that you need to fill all your details for each department. Please note that you need to pay the application fee separately for each department.
Step 10
You can keep on updating your application,upload the payment reference document and photo till the last date.
Step 11
“Incomplete application will not be accepted”.
