Admissions to PhD Program August 2020:
Applications are invited from prospective candidates for admission to the PhD Program at IISER Mohali in the areas of Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Earth & Environmental Sciences and Humanities & Social Sciences, for the session beginning in August 2020. Candidates interested in pursuing research in interdisciplinary areas are also encouraged to apply.
Qualification Criteria: The applicant needs to have a Masters degree/ B.Tech/ MBBS/ M.Tech with a good academic record (at least a high second class) and ought to be GATE/ CSIR or UGC-NET/ JEST/ NBHM-JRF/ GPAT/DBT-BINC/ICAR-NET/ICMR-JRF/ DBT-JRF/DST-INSPIRE qualified in the relevant subject.
Detailed criteria determined by individual departments for PhD admissions:
Department of Biological Sciences: The applicant needs to have a Masters degree/B. Tech/ MBBS/ M.Tech with a fantastic academic record (at least 60 percent and above) and

Admissions to Int PhD Program August 2020:
Applications are invited from Potential candidates for admission to the Integrated MS-PhD Program at IISER Mohali in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for the session Commencing in August 2020. The programme involves course work in addition to research work. Successful completion of the program will lead to an MS degree and a PhD degree.
Eligibility Criteria: The applicant should have a Bachelors degree in Science and related areas with a fantastic academic record (at least 60% aggregate or at least CGPI 6.0 on a scale of 10).
Added Qualifications: Candidates that have obtained one of the following national-level qualifying exams, are advised to mention the exact same in their application form:
1. NBHM Masters or PhD scholarship for Mathematics
2. Rank in JEST examination for Physics
3. DST INSPIRE fellowship or KVPY scholarship
4. Rank in IIT JAM for your preferred specialization
