BIRAC announces the special edition of WInER Award (Women In Entrepreneurial.
Research) to recognize, reward and support women entrepreneurs in the biotech sector.
implementing their innovative solutions in the states of North East Region (Arunachal.Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura).

Under this award program, top 5 women entrepreneurs implementing their innovative.
products/technologies in NER will certainly be awarded the following:
- Award money of INR 5 lakhs each.
- Access to BIRAC’s expert mentor network.
- Opportunity to participate in BIRAC’s accelerator programme.
Who can apply for BIRAC Award?
A proposal can only be submitted by the Indian company, registered under the Indian Companies Act, 1956/2013 with woman entrepreneur * as Principal investigator. The company needs to be in existence for less than 10 years as on closure of the call. Minimum 51% of the shares of the Company must
be held by Indian Citizens holding Indian passport (Indian Citizens do not include Person of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) holders).* A woman entrepreneur should be:
- The Principal Investigator of the submitted project for consideration under this application.
- An Indian Citizen holding Indian passport.
- Among the promoter shareholders of the Indian Company.

Just online application is accepted. For submissions, please register on BIRAC website.
under WInER Award Category. User registration is open round the clock and closes by 5:30.
