Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST) invites applications from potential candidates for admission into its PhD Program in Many Regions of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology for the session starting in January, 019. The profile of this Faculty members in INST is available at http://www.inst.ac.in/scientists.php. PhD students will be provided fellowship according to INST norms.
Interested applicants with a fantastic academic track record and a strong aim to pursue PhD in areas related to Nanoscience and Technology like devices, materials for energy applications (photocatalysts, electrocatalysts, supercapacitors, hydrogen production & storage), Smart materials (organic/inorganic), Sensors, Therapeutics etc..
a) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
M.Sc. / M.Tech. In Basic, Applied Sciences or Engineering and related areas
b) QUALIFYING EXAMINATION
GATE/ CSIR or UGC
-NET/ JEST/ JGEEBILS (TIFR/ NCBS)/ ICMR-JRF/ DBT-JRF/ DST-INSPIRE/ GPAT.Students registered with IISER Mohali for their BS-MS program can apply according to IISER Mohali’s standard.
C) APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. The application form for PhD programme can be downloaded in Institute site
http://inst.ac.in/careers.php
2. The duly filled APPLICATION FORM and online SYNOPSIS
(https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd-LesA-Efu4QDsn0oqa62ev4azldHEICAKwBp0c4CNKBGM6Q/viewform?c=0&w=1 ) ought to be sent on [email protected] as an advance copy.
The hard copy of the application with these documents must be sent to “The Director, Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Habitat Centre, Stage – 10, Sector – 64, Mohali, Punjab-160062” in order to reach on or before due date:
(a.)Photograph duly pasted on the application form.
(b.) Application fees.
(c.) Self-Attested duplicates of Certificate in support of age, educational qualifications (Mark Sheet, Degrees & Certificates of class X and over ).
(d.) Experience certification in the event of working candidate.
(f.) Self-attested a copy in support of SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH category (Should be Valid).
3. The envelope containing the application form must superscribe ” Application for the PhD. Program — January 2019″.
4. The shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. The list of those shortlisted candidates will be published to the Institute site and communication will be sent to applicants on email address supplied by candidate.
5. The candidates called for interview will be compensated sleeper class rail fare or Non-AC Bus Fare (on the production of the ticket) from the place of residence to Institute as well as back.
6. The candidate is advised to visit the Institute website (www.inst.ac.in) often to know the latest developments.
d) APPLICATION FEES
The aforesaid application documents must be accompanied by a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 450/for General/OBC or Rs. 150/for SC/ST/PH drawn in favour of Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali (payable at Mohali or in Chandigarh). Please mention your name on the reverse of the DD.
e) LAST DATE
Applications from interested students should reach INST via Registered/ Speed Post/ Courier by 16TH OCTOBER 2018. Applications received after this date will not be entertained whatsoever.
Award of the Degree: It may please be noted PhD students registered with INST will also need to register at IISER, Mohali to their PhD degree (http://www.iisermohali.ac.in/).
