Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) was established at Ludhiana by an act of the Punjab Legislature No. 16 of 2005 notified in the Punjab Government Gazette on August 9, 2005 and it started functioning w.e.f. April 21, 2006 for promoting livestock production, health and prevention of the disease(s) through integrated teaching, research and extension programme(s).
Online applications are invited from the candidates for admission to Ph.D. Programme in the following disciplines for the academic session 2017-18 as per eligibility given against each:-
College Of Veterinary Science:
Animal Genetics & Breeding, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production Management, Livestock Products Technology, Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Biochemistry, Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Pharmacology, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology, Veterinary Surgery & Radiology and Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension Education.
Minimum Qualification:- A Master’s level degree (M.V.Sc.) in the respective/related discipline and B.V.Sc. & A.H. or equivalent degree with a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent at Master’s level and a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00/4.00 or equivalent at Bachelor’s level.
School Of Animal Biotechnology: Animal Biotechnology /Biotechnology
Minimum Qualification:
A Master’s level degree in Animal Biotechnology/Veterinary Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/any branch in Veterinary Science/Life Sciences and B.V.Sc. & A.H. or B.Sc. (Biotechnology/Medical) or B.Sc.(Hons.) Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology & Molecular Genetics or equivalent degree- with a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent and a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00/4.00 or equivalent at Bachelor’s level.
