Applications are invited for the position of 13 full time Project Assistants in Department of Biotechnology (1), Institute of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics (2), Department of Zoology (4), Department of Microbiology (3) Department of Biochemistry (1 ), Department of Physics (2) of this University, under UGC sponsored UPE project on “Synthesis, characterization and application of novel nanoparticles for potential application in medicine and biotechnology” being coordinated by the Department of Zoology (4), Savitribai Phule Pune University. Seven positions posts will be for ‘Open’ category (2 reserved for women) and the remaining posts will be for the ‘Reservation’ category as SC (2), ST (1), VJ (1), and OBC (2).

Eligibility – Project Assistants : M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./M.Tech degree in relevant discipline with at least 55% marks. Preference will be given to NET/SET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified candidates.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Institute of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics (2) : M.Sc./ M.Tech. in any branch of Life Sciences/ Biotechnology
  • Department of Biotechnology(l): M.Sc. in Biotechnology or Microbiology Knowledge of
    Metagenomics, and phylogenetics analysis and Soil Microbiology •
  • Department of Microbiology (3): M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Research experience in microbiology/ Soil microbiology
  • Department of Biochemistry (1): M.Sc. in Biochemistry/Research experience in cell culture techniques
  • Department of Zoology (2) : M.Sc. in Zoology/ Biotechnology/Microbiology
    (2): M.Com
    Department of Physics (2): M.Sc. in Physics

Fellowship : Rs. 15,000/- per month consolidated

Period of Appointment: Till the end of Project (31st March 2018).

How to Apply :

Candidates who possess the above qualifications should appear for walk in interview on 8th July, 2107 along with their brief bio-data and with original certificates in the Department of Zoology, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune-411007 till 1 pm. Candidates reporting at or before 1 pm would only be interviewed.

  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
