The Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (inStem), is a state-of-the-art research institute in Bangalore, India, dedicated to the study of stem cell and regenerative biology. An autonomous institute funded by the Dept of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, inStem emphasizes collaborative research in stem cell biology. inStem’s mandate to allow this cross-disciplinary, multi-pronged approach to research, straddles the divide between clinical and laboratory research in stem cell biology. Job Title : Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Associate
Project 1: Calcium Homeostasis in maintenance of stem cell pluripotency. For this project we seek candidates trained in embryonic stem cell cultures, mouse work. Experience in protein-RNA biochemistry and metabolism will be given preference.
Project 2 : Investigating metabolic demands of macrophages using Drosophila as the model system. We are looking for motivated candidate with good track record in Drosophila experience and metabolism. Additional weightage will be given to candidates with prior experience in biochemistry and immunology.

Project Assistant/PhD: The minimum requirement for this position is MSc degree with a valid CSIR-NET qualification in any discipline of Biology, Biochemistry, or Chemistry.
Motivated candidates with experience in developmental biology and genetics are encouraged to apply. Experience in molecular biology and biochemistry is desirable but is not essential. Candidates seeking to continue as a PhD student will be preferred.
