Job Title : Research Associate- Regulatory Affairs

Eligibility : M.Sc – Any Specialization, Agriculture, Bio-Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Dairy Technology, Food Technology, Microbiology

Experience : 4-7 yrs

Location : ITC Foods, Bangalore,

Salary : INR 4,00,000 – 7,00,000 P.A

Qualification & Experience:

1. Preferably Masters in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology and Botany having good understanding of food ingredients and additives.
2. Good understanding of Food laws applicable in India including Legal Metrology and ASCI codes.
3. Experience 4 7 Years in the Regulatory & Quality Functions of organization repute.
Job profile:
1. Good understanding of Food laws applicable in India including Legal Metrology and ASCI codes.
2. Check the recipes with national or international regulations

and their approval.
3. Provide inputs related to regulatory to R&D and QA during the new product development.
4. Liaise with R&D, Product Development, QA, Legal and Marketing department in order to establish correct labeling requirements and give clear regulatory understanding of the regulatory requirements.
5. Establish Ingredient List and other mandatory declaration for every new and revised recipe as per the Indian regulations and or international regulations wherever required.
6. Scrutinize and approve all labels/Artwork for conformance with the Indian food regulations.
7. To take part in the Divisional Audits of the own Manufacturing locations and Contract Manufacturing locations w.r.t. the Regulatory compliances.
8. Compile the various Justification and other relevant documents for Dossier preparation and submitting to the authority.
9. Comment on the Drafts rules, policy statements, and procedures for administration of the applicable act and prepare ITC responses on the proposed legislation.
10. To attend the Regulatory workshops, seminars and initiate capacity building and Advocacy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required :

1. Knowledge of the principles and practices of the regulatory field to which assigned.
2. Knowledge of the Food Safety Standards Act(s) or Rules and Regulations.
3. Knowledge of legislative processes which is defined in FSS Act 2006.
4. Knowledge of International regulations like CODEX and Its work practices.
5. Ability to evaluate, interprets, and/or applies laws, rules, and regulations, to the work.
6. Ability to comment on the draft legislation and CODEX Documentation with appropriate scientific justification and facts.
7. Ability to maintain records, and prepare reports and correspondence related to the regulatory work.
8. Ability to communicate effectively with others and Advocacy in regulatory Policy matters.
