Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in the ongoing research project funded by DST SERB, Government of India, under the supervision of Dr. S.Vijayalakshmi, Associate Professor, Department of Biotechnology, VELS University, Pallavaram, Chennai
Title of the Research Project : Effect of stress inducer on the morphology of riboflavin producer Eremothecium ashbyii and the preliminary studies on the Nucleotide Excision Repair (NER) pathway gene expression. (Project No: EMR/2016/000915).

Name of the position available : Junior Research Fellow

Essential qualifications : M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry with minimum 60% marks and a valid NET/GATE score.
Salary : Rs. 25,000 per month + 20% HRA
Terms and Conditions :
The position is temporary and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum period of three years. Candidate selected for this position can also apply for the regular Ph.D program provided he/she satisfies the eligibility criterion for Ph.D program at VELS University.
