Eligible candidates are invited to attend a Walk-in-Interview for the post of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and one Project Assistant in the DST sponsored project entitled “Macro-and micro-phytodiversity and behavioral pattern of pollen deposition in and around endangered wetlands of Assam: a palaeoecological and conservational perspective” under Or. Abhijit Mazumder (Pl) and Dr. S.K. Bera (Co-Pl).
Position 1
Name of the Post : Junior Research Fellow {JRF)-01 Post
Age : Not exceeding 28 years
Qualification & Experience : Post graduate in Botany/Geology/Life Sciences/Bio-Sciences/Earth Science with a consistently good academic record. Desirable qualification: CSIR/UGC/NET/ GATE qualified
Monthly Fellowship : Rs. 25,000/-+20% HRA (for eligible candidates as per rule)
Duration : Three years or co-terminus with project
Position 2
Name of the Post : Project Assistant-01 Post
Age : 28 years
Qualification & Experience :Graduate (B.Sc.) with Botany as one of the subject
Monthly Fellowship : Rs. 8000 p.m. (consolidated)
Duration : Three years or co-terminus with project
- *Age: Relaxation is admissible for candidates who belongs to SC/ST/OBC category or women candidates as per Government of India rules.
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) may be allowed for JRF as per Central Government norms applicable in the institute. The fellowship amount may be taken as basic for calculating the HRA. JRF are also entitled for medical allowances applicable in the institute.
Interested candidates may appear before the Selection Committee on October 17, 2016 (Monday) at 11.00 AM in the Committee Room of the institute for interview along with application/bio-data on plain paper with original and attested copies of mark sheets/certificates. The incumbent shall have no implicit or explicit claim of regular absorption in any post in the institute or in Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
