Desert Medicine Research Centre, a permanent research centre under Indian Council of Medical Research, Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, invites applications from suitable Indian Nationals for appointment on the following post up to 22nd September, 2016:
Job Title : Scientist ‘C’ (Medical)- One Post (Unreserved)
Pay Band 3 : Rs. 15600-39100+ Grade pay Rs. 6600
Essential qualifications:
1. Post graduate degree in Community Medicine/Social & Preventive Medicine/ General Medicine/Pediatrics/Microbiology with one year R&D/teaching experience or Postgraduate Diploma in the above mentioned medical subjects with two years R&D/teaching experience.
OR
2. MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized University with 4 years R&D/Teaching experience in the required subject after MBBS Degree
Desirable qualifications:
(i) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant
subject in recognized institute.
(ii) Knowledge of computer application.
Job Requirement: To plan and undertake independent research in the field of Biomedical science and to assist in Centre’s research programmes.
Notes:
1. MD/MS/MDS/PhD in the relevant subject shall be
treated equivalent tothree years experience.
2.Postgraduate Diploma in the relevant medical subject shall be treated
equivalent to two years experience.
Age limit : Not exceeding 40 years and relaxable up to 5 years for Government Employee.
Service Conditions:
(1). Allowances as per Central Government Rules are admissible on the above pay scale.
(2) Benefits of new restructured defined Contributory pension system (NPS) are admissible as per
the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECD & PR
Division), Notification No.5/7/2003-ECD & PR dated 22/12/2003 effective from 01/01/2004.
(3) Private practice is not allowed, however, non-practicing allowance is admissible as per rule.
(4) This post is with all India transfer liability

Application form duly completed in all respects and signed by the applicant should be sent to Director, Desert Medicine Research Centre, New Pali Road, Jodhpur – 342005 and should reach on or before 22nd September 2016 along with attested copies of the Certificates in support of date of birth educational qualification, experience etc. and crossed Indian Postal Order IPOs /Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) in favour of Director, Desert Medicine Research Centre, Jodhpur payable at Jodhpur. SC/ST, Women and Physically Handicapped (PH) applicants are exempted from the application fees. IPOs/ DDs are payable by all other candidates including ICMR employees. Incomplete applications or without postal
order/DD will not be entertained.

Advance copies of application will be considered subject to the condition that a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer is produced at the time of personal discussion.
